"I want clients to look at their finished pieces and smile.
If it doesn't evoke a strong feeling, it probably shouldn't go
home with you."
Karie’s love for
art began as a child, but she became more serious about pursuing a
career in art in high school. With a degree in Graphic Design from
Illinois Central College, Karie quickly became enamored with painting
and watercolors and soon developed her
own unique watercolor techniques that became the basis
of her work.
To stay “around art”, Karie got her
first job in framing 12 years ago. With her background in art
appreciation, color and design, it was a perfect fit. She relies on
her creativity and trained eye to select visually pleasing solutions
that will work for our clients.
Whether she’s working on a residential
project to rejuvenate a client’s existing art or on a large commercial
project with new art, Karie enjoys applying experience and knowledge
to explore
new ideas with framing materials.
Her interest as an artist hasn’t waned
either. Karie continues
to paint with watercolors, creating pieces for her growing list of
clientele.
